About Systems Changers
Systems Changers is a new programme from Lankelly Chase which aims to amplify the impact of frontline workers focussed on people facing severe and multiple disadvantage. All too often, the voices of frontline workers don’t get heard and their valuable knowledge gets lost. The purpose of this programme is to help frontline workers’ insights have more influence over the wider systems they work in. Participants will finish the course with a much broader understanding of the system in which they operate and will have the tools and networks to start to realise change.
To reimburse participants’ organisations for the time they spend on the programme a £3,000 payment can be made direct or in kind to your team or organisation.
Your organisation will need to be committed to enabling the full and active participation of your member of staff and to learning with them along the way. We hope that being involved in the programme will also have a wider positive impact on your organisation.
The programme will include:
A residential at the start and end of the programmeLearning days to develop and refine participants' skills and give them new tools to useField trips to visit other organisations and meet other practitionersPeer coaching and mentoring supportTalks and interactive sessions with leading experts across policy-making, service design including ethnography and systems mapping, procurement and funding, power and influencing, storytelling, and technology.Opportunities for organisational learning and involvement
We've designed the programme to give the participants:
A space to reflect on their their experience and insightsNew skills and methods to enable their ideas to have more impact and influenceOpportunity to meet others who are also working on the frontline and think about ways to influence the wider systemOne to one coaching to support their developmentWays of including their organisation in the systems changers programme.
From July – December 2016, participants will spend 3-4 days a month on the programme, exploring the systems in which they work, and actively sharing knowledge with the cohort as well as their organisation. This will be an opportunity to step back and consider alternative approaches and think about how a whole system might be re-designed to have a greater positive impact on the people they work with.
