Forklift Submission Extravaganza
Forklift is currently accepting proposals for our 2019 season of staged readings and workshops.

A program of the Loading Dock Theatre, Forklift aims to challenge emerging and early-career artists by creating avenues for the development of new work. Often challenging the form of the reading itself, Forklift encourages creativity and experimentation in developing a vocabulary that informs future productions. Rehearsals and performances occur at the Loading Dock Theatre’s black box space in Downtown Brooklyn.

Past Forklift workshops have had further development and productions at a variety of cool spots, including Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Public Theater, NYMF, The PIT, University Settlement, and Ars Nova.

Founded by Charles Quittner in 2017, Forklift is entering its third season with resident dramaturg Cameron Jefts, producing by Li Kennedy, and mentorship by Loading Dock co-founders Steven Gridley and Erin Treadway.

The deadline is December 8th.
