Acquisition & Due Diligence Subcommittee: The PNLT Acquisitions Committee leads the planning of acquisitions of real property. This includes the development of acquisition policy, best practices and priorities, and exploring acquisition opportunities. The Acquisitions Committee includes a Negotiations & Due Diligence subcommittee, which undertakes all formal negotiations and due diligence reviews.
Communications and Community Engagement Subcommittee (CCE): This committee works to reach out to and spread the idea of community land trust to the wider community members – both beneficiaries and supporters. The committee also develops key communication materials and messages while spearheading community engagement and community-based participatory planning in order to promote greater community participation and membership development.
Governance Subcommittee: This subcommittee’s primary responsibility is organizational development from the legal and governance perspective. The committee works on building a community based and democratic governance model for Parkdale context, while also developing policies and bylaws that reflect the principles of diversity, equity, and democracy.
Research Subcommittee: The purpose of the PNLT Research Committee is to lead internal research activities, coordinate stakeholder engagement related to research activities, and provide guidance, advice, and inputs to external research projects. In addition, the committee aims to use research strategically to support community organizing, policy work, and partnership building.
Fundraising Subcommittee: This subcommittee focuses on fundraising – identifying potential funding opportunities, writing proposals, managing grants, and creating fundraising events.
Finance Subcommittee: The purpose of this subcommittee is ]to monitor financial planning, management, and reporting matters for the Parkdale Neighbourhood Land Trust.
