Alliance Training Scholarship
This form is to be completed by market managers, operational staff interested in receiving a scholarship to attend the Market Manager Training at the California Small Farms Conference. The pre-conference training will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 11am - 5:30pm in San Luis Obispo. The conference will take place on Friday, February 28 & Saturday, February 29 in Paso Robles, CA. We encourage attendees to stay for the full conference.

The Scholarship will cover a portion of the costs of training and conference registration (up to $95). The Scholarship will also provide funding for travel (with maximum allowance based on travel distance) and up to 2 nights lodging in Paso Robles, CA at the federal GSA per diem rates for the area. The Alliance is not able to reimburse meals or incidentals.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so please apply early.

Scholarships will be a reimbursement model: awardees will be responsible for costs up front including registration, lodging, and travel costs*. Following training, awardees will invoice the Alliance for reimbursement, including submission of all receipts. Reimbursement instructions will be provided to scholarship recipients prior to the conference.

Scholarship Needs
Some market managers may only need support with registration, while others may only need support with travel and accommodation. This next section enables us to understand your needs so we can share our resources widely. Your answers to this section WILL NOT impact whether or not your application is successful.
Do you require travel assistance? *
The scholarship will provide travel assistance pro-rated for distance.
Do you require lodging assistance? *
The scholarship will provide funding for hotel at a rate of $123/night (plus tax and fees)
Do you require registration assistance? *
The scholarship will provide a partial refund on registration: If you attend the full conference and the training, your ticket ($115 value) will be refunded $95. If you attend only the training ($35 value) your ticket will be refunded $15.
