UConn's Engineering Ambassadors would like to help promote STEM within your school by having us come visit your school! Below is a brief summary of what a visit typically consists of:
School Visit: Engineering Ambassadors from UConn present to science and math classes at your school. The pair will give a 10-15 minute presentation on an engineering topic with relevance to a concept students are learning in class and then interact with your students with a hands-on demonstration.
On-Campus Visit The Engineering Ambassadors will present any number of fascinating mathematics and science topics, which can be tailored to expand upon concepts you are teaching in class, to your students as well as relevant hands-on demonstrations. In addition, there are also the options of going on a tour of the Co-Generation Plant, which is power plant that supplies UConn's energy, and visiting the Learning Community Innovation Zone (LCIZ) which is the only Makerspace on campus. This is a fantastic opportunity for the students to have an inside scoop of what it is like to be on a college campus! One of our Vice-Presidents of Presentation Team will be in contact with you shortly to confirm your visit.
