We will not be able to burn structures this year due to the drought. Because of this, any structures built will need to be removed from the site at the end of the event. Designs must include a plan for removal.

-Does it represent anything?-Is there a story or a message it's going to convey?-Does it have any interactive elements?-What artistic elements are you going to use? (CnC art, painting, lighting, sound, etc)-Does it relate to Euphoria's theme?
You will need to provide images to elaborate (use an external link such as Google Docs or imgur).
-You may use any medium to illustrate your design. Scale drawings, charts, diagrams, details, physical models, or whatever it takes to get the idea across of what it is you would like to build.-The images can be in any common format (JPEG, PDF, PNG, etc)-Using software such as AutoCad or Sketch up is preferred, but not required.-The images need to show as much detail as possible. Hand sketches are fine, but they need to be legible and well scanned.-The images need to clearly show the dimensions with as much detail as possible.
Consider these questions for the times of pre-build, on-site construction, and during the event.
At night time, the structure is required to be lit up, especially in the climbable spots. We will provide you with a power source for the duration of the event.
It doesn't have to be perfect, as we understand that unexpected issues and expenses happen.
The maximum budget is $2,000 for the Effigy and $1000 for the Temple. You certainly don't have to spend all of it to create a spectacular art piece.
A bigger, bulky structure is not necessary a better structure.
You should include the costs for the following:
-All the construction materials needed (lumber, fasteners, widgets, etc)-Art materials (paint, brushes, lights, sound, propane, etc)-Rental for any special equipment (including heavy machinery, scaffolding, etc)-CnC (we can connect you with people if you don't have any)-Transportation-Build space rental (we can help you find that if you don't have it)-Swag/food/drink to say "thank you" to your team and keep them fueled-Any other items not listed
Include the names of the vendor you plan on using for each item.
You don't have to include the cost of on-site electrical power and ignition fuel.
We recommend that 10-15% of your budget be allocated for unexpected expenses.
It is a strict expectation that the construction is complete and the structure is open to the community by no later than Thursday at noon on May 4th.
Once the planning starts, the leadership team will coordinate with you the details of closing the structure for burning. We will also work out the details of the burning ceremony.
