The Immigration & Business Awards recognize the extraordinary achievements of immigrants in business, and the organizations committed to their success. These accomplishments will be celebrated on Thursday, February 29, 2024 as part of the Immigration & Business Luncheon, a fundraiser for the Catherine McAuley Center, featuring an educational session and keynote speaker, along with a ceremony to honor award recipients.

NOMINATION PROCESS
Complete this form to nominate an individual or a business. Self nominations are welcomed! 

Deadline: January 12, 2024

Eligibility Criteria: Nominees must be employed or have a place of business within a 100-mile radius of Cedar Rapids.
  • We ask that you complete only one form per nominee. If nominating multiple individuals or businesses, please complete a separate nomination form for each.
  • Additional supporting documents, such as letters of support, news clippings, or photos are not required, but can submitted with your form (see details below).

AWARDS CATEGORIES
Welcoming Workplace Award: Large Company 
(More than 50 employees/nationally based)
A business or organization that exemplifies inclusive and supportive practices in employing and/or advocating for the employment of refugees and immigrants.

Welcoming Workplace Award: Small Company 
(Fewer than 50 employees/locally owned)
A business or organization that exemplifies inclusive and supportive practices in employing and/or advocating for the employment of refugees and immigrants.

Emerging Employee Award
An employee with the immigrant experience who demonstrates exemplary service and dedication in their role within an organization. 

Outstanding Business Leader Award
An individual with the immigrant experience who demonstrates leadership in the business arena.

Young Entrepreneur & Leader Award
An individual under the age of 25, with the immigrant experience, who demonstrates exemplary leadership and community involvement.
