Parent Volunteer Form 2019-20
Volunteering is vital to the success of Pacific Crest School. Each family is required to contribute 30 hours of volunteer work per school year. There are many opportunities to fill these hours, from attending parent education meetings and garden work parties to chaperoning outings and mending aprons. We will post additional volunteer opportunities when needs arise. This form helps us know your interests and establish base crews for each committee in advance. Please indicate your interests below, letting us know which parent is volunteering by writing in their initials. Another volunteer will reach out to you with details about the event. You can learn more about all of these events and meet face-to-face with committee chairs at our Volunteer Fair on September 23rd!

We often have needs for volunteers with specific skills, expertise or access to resources in various academic or professional fields to create special learning opportunities for small groups or individual children, or to contribute to volunteer efforts. Do you have hobbies, insights, expertise, or community connections that you can offer? Examples include knowing someone who works at city hall and could offer a tour, skills in graphic design that could benefit our annual giving campaign or connections to businesses that could donate to our auction. We also ask for your employer name both in case we’re looking for a connection there and so we can give out reminders to those who we know work at a location that matches volunteer time or philanthropic gifts. We will of course never contact an employer directly, but it helps us to know which parents to speak to about certain searches.

The biennial benefit auction is a fantastic community event and great revenue stream for our school. We have a stellar lead team of volunteers in place, but there are many more opportunities to get involved.
