2024 Adventure Treks Wilderness First Responder and Recertification Registration

Dates
  • Wilderness first responder course (through SOLO Schools): May 19 to 27 ($650)
  • Wilderness first responder course (through Wilderness Medical Associates/Cascadia Wilderness Medicine): June 30 to July 7 ($700)
  • Wilderness first responder recertification course (through SOLO): May 29 to 30 ($225)
All courses start promptly at 8 a.m.

Location
  • Adventure Treks basecamp: 178 Dowling Rd, Toledo, WA 98591 
Accommodations
  • Tent or car camping with access to portable toilets, hand-washing stations, shower tents with hot water, food storage space, and an outdoor kitchen* (food/meals are not provided)
  • Laundry: Laundry facilities are not provided on-site, and there will not be much time to leave for a laundromat. We suggest arriving with everything you’ll need for the duration of the course. 
  • Please note that the hosts live on property with their two dogs.
*The outdoor kitchen and food storage space are not available for the June/July WFR course.

Transportation 

Drivers are welcome to arrive the evening before—please arrive with everything you need. 

If you're planning to fly: 
  • WFR in May: Pease arrive at the Portland, OR (PDX), airport on May 18 no later than 2 p.m. We will provide a shuttle from PDX, and stop at the grocery store prior to arriving at basecamp.
  • WFR in June/July: We will not be able to provide a shuttle from PDX for this WFR course.
  • WFR recert: If flying, please arrive at the Portland, OR (PDX), airport on May 28 no later than 2 p.m. We will provide a shuttle from PDX, and stop at the grocery store prior to arriving at basecamp. 
Deposit
  • Wilderness first responder courses: A $250 deposit is required when signing up; payment in full is due by the course start date. Please pay via check or Venmo. 
  • Wilderness first responder recertification course: A $75 deposit is required when signing up; payment in full is due by the course start date. Please pay via check or Venmo.
