Welcome to the registration and waiver for the Downtown Neighbourhood Mural Tour for Sunday, March 29, 2026. This event is hosted by Rainbow Routes Association & Coalition for a Liveable Sudbury.

Registering helps us organize and ensures you get last minute notifications such as cancellation due to extreme weather conditions or other changes. You will not receive a confirmation email immediately after registering, only the day before the hike.

About the Hike

Tour Up Here Festival's downtown murals with local artist Nico Glaude, and explore downtown Sudbury's 'complete neighbourhood' attributes, present, past & future, with local architect Kai Wood Mah.

Hike Details:

When: Sunday, March 29th, 2026

Time: 11:00AM - 1:00PM

Distance: 3 km

Meet: YMCA (140 Durham)

Transit: Take any bus to the transit terminal, and take a short walk to the Y.

Parking: Free street parking available downtown on weekends, or see downtown parking options.

Dress: Dress for the weather

Difficulty: Easy

Leader: Nico Glaude, Kai Wood Mah

Bad weather date: If the forecast for Sunday, March 29 is for dangerous weather or a downpour, the walk will be reschedule for Saturday, March 28 at the same time. In that case, an email will be sent out early Saturday morning.,

Important Information:

Pre-registration is required to participate in the hike. This ensures that you receive all last-minute notifications, including weather-related cancellations or any changes to the event plan. Note that you will receive a confirmation email the day before the hike.

Our hikes are designed to accommodate participants capable of walking on outdoor trails. Look out for organizers in RRA dark blue vests at the event for any assistance or questions you may have.

I am aware of the nature of hiking activities I choose to take part in, and that I am properly equipped and physically able to participate. I have consulted my doctor (if necessary) and have no medical or other condition left unmanaged that might preclude my participation.

I acknowledge that the activities in which I am participating involve risks that are beyond the control of the association including the potential for disability or death. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks both known and unknown and assume full responsibility for my participation. I agree to pay any emergency costs if and where applicable including evacuation of my person or belongings. The route includes a wide variety of infrastructure, including but not limited to, road crossings, sidewalks of varying conditions, both maintained and unmaintained trails of varying condition, etc.

I give full permission for the use of me and/or my minor child's name, photograph and video image by the Rainbow Routes Association to recognize my participation and promote RRA and its initiatives. If you do not agree, please inform the hike leader at the onset of the event!

I hereby release City of Greater Sudbury and/or other Trail Operator, their employees, volunteers, other participants, partners, sponsoring agencies, advertisers, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (Releasees) with respect to any and all injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.

I recognize and understand that RRA activity hike leaders are volunteers, and do not necessarily have professional qualifications and training to lead their activities to industry standards.

I will stay home if presenting any symptoms of illness such as fever/chills, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, etc.
