The Mid-Atlantic Association for Language Learning Technology (MAALLT) is excited to host our next Tech Slam, “Ethics and Accountability in CALL” on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 7 p.m. Eastern Time.

A Tech Slam is similar to a poetry slam, but instead of poetry, it features multiple 5-minute micro-presentations on useful tools, strategies, or practices related to language learning technology.

The theme for this event is the importance of ethical considerations and the accountability of both students and their instructors in CALL (Computer-Assisted Language Learning). Slams will focus on this theme and other topics related to language learning technology.

Presenters will briefly introduce their tool or practice and highlight its value for teachers and learners. The event will conclude with a question-and-answer session.

The live event will be open to the first 100 registrants. A recording will be shared afterward with MAALLT members who are unable to attend live.
