Committee Descriptions
Communications: Maintain regular communication with TDA and ADA updates to ensure members are well-informed. Oversee the editing and production of electronic communications and newsletters disseminated to NTDS members.

New Dentist Study Club: Curate and manage speakers and activities tailored for emerging dentists, encompassing study club sessions and social gatherings.

Retention and Recruitment (R&R): This membership committee creates social events and ways to engage new and prospective NTDS members.

Mentorship Development: Coordinate and facilitate the mentoring of recently licensed dentists by seasoned members of the NTDS through diverse approaches and structured initiatives.

Dental Care Programs: Volunteers play a vital role in arranging and coordinating Give Kids a Smile events, enabling member dentists to host GKAS initiatives within their practices. Additionally, this committee is actively engaged in the planning, organization, and solicitation of support for the next Texas Mission of Mercy event in Bonham, Texas.

Peer Review: This committee serves as a mediator in resolving conflicts that may arise between NTDS members and their respective patients. Periodically, committee members will be called to serve on peer review panels. All participants are mandated to undergo training conducted by the TDA Peer Review Council

TDA Delegate/Alternate Delegate: Delegates serve as the official representatives of the NTDS at the annual House of Delegates meeting of the Texas Dental Association. Here, official policy is decided and voted upon. Most recently and notably, this is the meeting where delegates voted to pass the resolution allowing hygienists to administer local anesthetic for the first time in Texas's history.
