OceanObs19 Side Meeting on Adding Ocean Biological and Ecological Observing Capacity
Will you attend our OceanObs19 side meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 18 from 3:30-5:00 pm? If so, please tell us a bit about what your specific interests are. While we have platforms and programs in mind, the expertise and interests of attendees will help shape the discussions at the meeting. We hope to identify bio/eco observing technology that is at the appropriate readiness level for large-scale test deployment, as well as short-term, cost-effective opportunities for test deployments via existing programs/platforms.
What is your name?
What is your affiliation?
What is your email?
Please tell us about any biological/ecological observing technology that you think is especially ripe for large-scale test deployment (imaging, flow cytometry, eDNA, acoustics, LiDAR, etc.).
Please indicate which of the following observational program(s) is(are) of greatest interest to you in terms of capacity to accommodate biological/ecological measurements and potential benefits of doing so
GO-SHIP (Global Ocean Shipboard Hydrographic Investigations Program)
Argo (including Biogeochemical and Deep Argo)
If you (or members of your group) have specific seagoing opportunities in the next 1-2 years, during which you'd be interested in actively participating in test deployments, please share this information below.
