A Review of Clinical Pharmacy Services in Adult Intensive Care Units: An International Cross-Sectional Study

Dear colleagues,

We invite you to participate in our survey, "A Review of Clinical Pharmacy Services in Adult Intensive Care Units: An International Cross-Sectional Study," conducted by researchers from Türkiye, the United Kingdom,  the United Arab Emirates, and Belgium.

This survey was supported by the ESICM Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy Section. Additionally, the survey is open to further dissemination through a snowball sampling method, as well as a network of national and international clinical pharmacy organizations worldwide to enhance representativeness of ICU pharmacy practices on a global scale.

The target population for our study consists of clinical pharmacists who dedicate part or all of their time to providing clinical pharmacy services in adult ICUs. For the purposes of this survey, adult intensive care bed numbers are accepted as beds where the staffing requirement is one nurse (or more) per two patients (or fewer) per shift.

This survey aims to assess and describe clinical pharmacy services in adult ICUs internationally, with a particular focus on clinical practices and workforce, to identify current roles, responsibilities, and challenges in ICU pharmacy.

We hope these findings will inform clinical pharmacy standards, optimize patient care, and guide policy improvements in intensive care settings.

Your participation in this research is entirely voluntary. By participating in this survey, you consent to use your anonymized responses in scientific publications. All data collected through this form will remain strictly confidential and will be used solely for research purposes in an anonymized format. The survey is designed to take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.

Thank you for completing this survey.
