AICS will be conducting the Presbyterianism Program "Know Your Presbyterian Heritage."
This course is designed to equip church leaders with a deeper understanding of the historical impact and contemporary practice of the Presbyterian tradition.
In this program, we will explore the profound roots and far-reaching influence of the Reformation. We study how Calvin’s work in Geneva aimed to establish a visible church aligned with God’s will, laying the foundation for the Reformed tradition. We also discover how John Knox, deeply influenced by Calvin, brought these principles to Scotland, skillfully adapting them to local needs and achieving remarkable success. Later, missionaries from the Church of Scotland carried this vision to China and Southeast Asia, further expanding its impact across the world.
Throughout this journey, we see how the Reformed churches have consistently grounded their renewal efforts in God's Word. Together, we will explore the history and core values of the Reformed tradition, draw wisdom from its legacy, and learn how to apply these principles faithfully within our local contexts.
