For the last 28 years, Transylvania University has worked with Big Brother Big Sisters of the Bluegrass to host a holiday carnival with a visit from Santa and presents. However, COVID-19 has restricted our ability to host a wonderful in person event, but we are not letting that stop our 29th year of holiday magic.

Instead of an in-person event, we are collecting gifts and donations to give to 20 kids from BBBS. We will also send home a package of holiday crafts for them to complete at their leisure.

We need the help of the Transy Elves to help us purchase gifts or sponsor all the kids. Elves help create a magical day for these children. Elves can sponsor a specific child by fulfilling their wish lists, or they can donate to the program. All the donations go to buying gifts. A donation of any size is greatly appreciated.

Each child receives one stocking and gifts from their wants and needs list.

Your money may help purchase:
$5, stocking
$50, Gifts off of the wants and needs list for one participating child
$55, Gifts off the wants/needs list and stocking for one participating child.

Money can be given to Michelle Thompson, Denise Hall, or Jeremy Sheffield in the Student Life Suite of the Campus Center or mailed to Housing and Residence Life 300 N. Broadway Lexington, KY 40508. Checks should be made out to Transylvania University with “Crimson Christmas” written in the memo line. If you want to purchase gifts on your own, Michelle Thompson will contact you with more information.
