Introduction to Burlesque - Kaikōura Workshop
Sunday 17 July 2022, 9.00am
Kaikōura Memorial Centre, 32 Esplanade
$35.00

Ready to try something new in 2022? Learn burlesque basics with Aurora Storm.

This workshop will cover walking and posing, bumps and grinds, as well as glove peels and a little chair dancing. We will also have a chat about the history of burlesque - what and who inspired the art form.

What to wear - whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident.  Heels optional.  Don't forget to bring a drink bottle!  If you have a pair of elbow or opera length gloves, bring those too (gloves will be available to borrow on the day).

Great fun! Boost your confidence and meet new people.

Burlesque Ōtautahi with Aurora is Christchurch’s newest burlesque dance school, bringing beginner and advanced classes to studios in both Christchurch City and Rolleston.

Aurora Storm opened B.O.A in October 2019, and has since encouraged people of all genders to become confident in their own skin, be body positive, and develop their own unique burlesque style while making new friends and having fun in an inclusive, supportive environment.

Various courses, one-off classes and workshops are run throughout the year.
