Thank you for your interest in joining The Royal Conservatory College of Examiners!

The College of Examiners is made up of over 300 distinguished professional teachers and performers from across North America. College members provide evaluations to students and teachers on behalf of The Royal Conservatory.

To join the College of Examiners, candidates must be admitted to and successfully complete the Adjudicator Certification Program. Candidates must possess at a minimum:

• A Bachelor of Music or an equivalent degree/diploma
• Teacher Certification through The Royal Conservatory (
• Successful student submission to The Royal Conservatory Certificate Program
• Five years of professional teaching experience
• Adjudicating experience at festivals/competitions
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Successful applicants to the Adjudicator Certification Program are expected to attend a 2.5-Day Training Seminar at The Royal Conservatory in Toronto, June 26-28, 2017.

Following the seminar, candidates take part in a series of practical training apprenticeships during examination sessions, working alongside mentor examiners to gain experience conducting and assessing examinations.
