Introduction
Thank you for your interest in our Calvert Lakes Oceans of Hope Challenge! We are thrilled to offer you the opportunity to apply to join us for this adventurous and unique experience for people living with MS. Activities are varied and can include: sailing, kayaking, archery, zipline, exploring the local area and using the onsite hydrotherapy pool. All activities are fully wheelchair accessible.
The cost of this event is: £175 per person. This cost has generously been subsidised by funding from charitable trusts. It includes 3 nights accommodation and all meals.

If you need to, you are welcome to bring a carer with you who can also partake in all the activities: The cost for a carer is also £175.
The dates for the event are 17th to 20th July 2026. Arriving for dinner on Friday 17th and leaving after breakfast on Monday 20th.
Calvert Lakes provides adventure breaks and holidays for people with disabilities. A not-for-profit based in the Lake District, they help children and adults with a range of disabilities overcome challenges and experience the benefit of the great outdoors. All activities and facilities are fully wheelchair accessible.
All accommodation is in shared 2 or 3 bed rooms (single beds)
Our events are always in high demand, and as a result, we maintain a waiting list. Participants are selected based on the following criteria: the date your application is received, your volunteer status, mobility needs, and priority is given to those who did not secure a spot in previous challenge events.
