The Humble Middle School AVID program is to prepare students who desire to go to a 4 year college/university or desire to be successful after high school. As well as give students the necessary skills and tools to be career and military successful if they choose those routes.

In the AVID elective class, Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, and Reading methods are used to accelerate students’ skills. Twice a week, AVID tutors come into the classroom to help assist in AVID tutorials. In the AVID elective class we will explore potential careers, majors and colleges. We also take field trips to visit nearby colleges and universities so students can see first hand what college life looks like.
