Students enrolled in the Credit Recovery Programs may carry over/add their past APEX credit. They must advocate and show evidence in APEX if they have an existing APEX SAHS class.

The ALC will continue with clear expectations.

We believe…
Recovering credit has great value for learners and yet the best instruction may include being scheduled in the following school year if students are challenged by the digital APEX curriculum.
Students will be awarded credit after earning 60% and 60% of the coursework.  (commensurate with passing percentages in formal courses.)You may desire to go the distance for 100% as a choice!

We will…
Document attendance as required by MDE to take careful attendance to account for your credits.
Reference past APEX archives when learners report for their initial sessions in the school year.
Have our program support learners with auditory read aloud options for those who need to hear the lessons.
accommodate and eliminate “techquity” barriers or issues, whenever possible.

We require…
1. Digital enrollment and completion of your continual learning plan and expectations.
2. All completed records of success for data entry to post on the transcript and be shared at the end of the session or as seniors graduate.
3. Grades to be entered as a P when completed and appear on the semester transcript unless you graduate.
4. Google registration will be used again this year and the names transferred to district enrollment as participants in the ALC entity.
5. Students enrolled in other school districts will be expected to enroll using online forms in our ALC entity.
6. If they complete their courses, they will hand carry or be sent a digital copy of their letter as a record of completion to the partner school.
7. Partial credits are not awarded unless agreed upon in advance.

If not enrolled in our district 834 schools please go to enrollment and enroll online for CR

CREDIT
To be awarded credit, students must satisfactorily complete the course. Partial credit is not awarded in Credit Recovery and extensions are not available beyond the program dates.  Grades will post at the end of semester unless otherwise warranted. Students making up credit through Credit Recovery are not awarded letter grades. Once a student has completed all requirements, a P/Pass grade is recorded and emailed to be added to the Skyward student transcript.

A student who is dropped because of behavior or attendance receives no credit and no mark on the transcript. Parent/guardians need to support the serious commitment as there are clear and revised expectations this year.

ALL students are to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. All District 834 discipline policies apply in this after school program. If a student is referred to an administrator, a parent/guardian will be contacted and a decision will be made as to whether the student can remain in the program. Teachers will distribute and review behavioral, academic, and entrance and exit expectations.

Please pre-read this expectation list with your student/parent.
