Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Theatre Sarnia's One Act Play Festival.
AUDITION INFORMATION
Auditions will take place at the rehearsal studios at the Imperial Theatre on Monday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 4 beginning at 6:30pm. These auditions are for all 5 shows - with over 25 roles to fill. All 5 directors will be at the auditions on May 2 & 4. Auditions will be in small scheduled groups in 30 minute sessions (you will select your audition time below). Callbacks will be on Monday, May 9 and Wednesday, May 11 in the evening - each of the 5 shows will have their own time on these evenings for callbacks. Please arrive a few minutes early for your audition time to check-in. Please wear comfortable clothing. Auditions are open to anyone 16 years of age or older.
AUDITION FORMAT
1. For your audition please prepare a one minute monologue (memorization optional).
2. You will also be asked to read a selection from one or more of these scenes (memorization not required):

Rehearsals will take place on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday evenings beginning on Sunday, May 15 (TBC). All rehearsals will take place in the rehearsal studios at the Imperial Theatre. Each show will rehearse twice a week (ex. Sunday/Monday or Sunday/Wednesday).
Tech Week and Performances will be August 21-27. Cast attendance is mandatory at all scheduled nights of tech week and all performances.
COVID Protocols/Vaccination Requirement
In accordance with provincial guidelines, Theatre staff, show volunteers, and performers will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination will also be required at auditions. You will need to present your proof of vaccination when you arrive at your audition. The production will follow COVID-19 distancing, mask wearing, and sanitization protocols. Masks will be worn at all times during the rehearsal process. Contact tracing protocols will be followed. The project is subject to our ability to ensure the health and safety of the cast and crew. Should circumstances change or COVID numbers continue to rise to the point that working on the show becomes unsafe, the team reserves the right to cancel the project.
