About the Resident Choirs at the University of Cincinnati
Cincinnati Youth Choir is Ensemble-in-Residence at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Our 5 resident choirs rehearse weekly (Tuesday and/or Thursdays nights) on CCM’s campus. All singers in grades 1-12 are welcomed and will be placed in a choir based on age and readiness. Though CCM resident choirs are tuition based, CYC offer’s tuition assistance in an effort to remove barriers for all families.
  • Piccolo Coro (grades 1-4): Tuesdays 5:45-6:45pm
  • Vivace (grades 4-7): Tuesdays 6:45-7:45pm
  • Con Brio (grades 5-9): Tuesdays 5:30-7:00pm
  • Voci (grades 10-12 and changed voices): Thursdays 5:30-7:00pm
  • Bel Canto (grades 6-12, prior choral singing experience preferred): Tuesdays and Thursdays 7:00-8:30pm

2026-2027 Tuition Information
Full year tuition amount by choir:
  • Piccolo Coro - $700.00
  • Vivace - $700.00
  • Con Brio - $1,400.00 (includes Queen City Choral Festival)
  • Con Brio & Voci - $1,610.00 (includes Queen City Choral Festival)
  • Voci - $700.00
  • Bel Canto - $1,100.00 (includes fall retreat)
  • Bel Canto & Voci - $1,275.00 (includes fall retreat)

Registering for Resident Choirs
What to expect when you register your child for Resident Choirs:
  • Children in grades 1-3 will be automatically welcomed into Piccolo Coro.
  • Children in grades 4-12 will need to do a Placement Hearing. This is a 10-15 minute hearing that requires zero preparation and will help our team know which choir to place your child in.
