Racial Healing at Rootead: Youth Hip Hop and Yoga
Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 4-5:30pm

Rootead Studio, 1501 Fulford St., Kalamazoo, MI 49001

Movement and truth telling are tools that can help us all heal from the impacts of racism. Come dance and practice yoga to your favorite hip hop hits! Become aware of basic breath anatomy to calm nerves and emotions, and increase body awareness through yoga. We will also share stories to give input in creating a shared vision for a Kalamazoo without racism, and learn about the Kalamazoo Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT). This event is targeted at ages 10-18. Snacks will be provided.

This event is a part of the National Day of Racial Healing, learn more at www.healourcommunities.org or https://www.facebook.com/events/1774288636198544/ or information on the day and activities you can do independently.
