Homecoming Court Application
REQUIREMENTS: DEADLINE TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS IS SEPTEMBER 14th, 3 P.M.
To be considered at candidate for ROYALTY(King, Queen, Prince, Princess, Duke, Dutchess)
Candidates must be able MUST be able to attend ALL the following events.
+ Meeting for court on Friday SEPTEMBER 24TH DURING 4TH PERIOD
+Spirit Week Activities(Monday-Friday September 27th-October 1st)
+Coronation Rehearsal(Monday September 27th, Gym, 5:30 P.M.)
+Coronation Ceremony (Tuesday September 28th. 9:45 A.M. Gym)

+Game Ceremony at the beginning of the Football game(Friday October 1st, Football Stadium)

You must have a MINIMUM GPA of 2.5
A copy of your transcript will be review with your application.
No campaigning for Homecoming Court is permitted. Campaigning will result in your removal as a candidate. Additionally, all SENIOR COURT members will also re required to perform a short 20 second dance with their court partner during the coronation at the pep rally.

+ Bonfire 9/30 (6:00 PM)- Casual
+ Beginning of Football Game Ceremony 10/1 - Boys- Shirt and tie. No jeans, no shorts, and no sneakers. Girls- Dress or pantsuit. No jeans, no shorts, and no sneakers.
+ Dance 10/2 (8:00-11:00 PM) - semi formal

Homecoming Court Timeline
+ September 14th, 3 pm - Deadline for applications.
+ September 20-23 - Voting days
+September 24th, Mandatory meeting during 4th period for senior court finalists and underclassmen court members
+ September 27th, 5:30 pm - Mandatory rehearsal for all senior finalists and under classmen court members
+ September 28th, 9:45 am - Coronation in gym
+ September 30th, 6:00 pm - Court attends bonfire
+ Friday October 1st, 30 minutes before kickoff  - Court arrive at the field entrance for presentation ceremony.

Homecoming Code of Conduct
I will participate enthusiastically in all Homecoming events as described in the attached schedule. As a member of the Homecoming Court, I realize my conduct must be above reproach at all times on and off campus. I am representing the entire school and as such will be held to higher standards. I will not carry nor use chemical substances or stimulants, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc. at any times on school grounds. I will display good sportsmanship towards my fellow court members and during all school events. I understand that I am a representative of Rio Rancho High School, and any inappropriate behavior or breaking of the code of conduct may result in my removal from Homecoming Court.
I have read and understand the above requirements, and I understand that failure to follow these requirements may result in my remove from  participation in Homecoming Court activities. *

IMPORTANT: FOR ALL FALL SPORTS ATHLETES ONLY! To be a candidate for Homecoming Court, candidates MUST be able to attend ALL the events listed on the timeline. To avoid schedule conflicts, Fall Sports athletes MUST have their coach AND athletic director verify that their participation in a sport will not conflict with ANY of the required Homecoming Activities. We will contact your coach to verify your availability to attend homecoming events.
