WFFF Volunteer Sheet - 2025-26

Wednesday Nights for Food, Friends and Faith (WFFF) is looking for more and new volunteers to help out!

WFFF takes place on Wednesday nights during the winter season from September to May. The meal is served from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Groups and faith formation often take place afterwards throughout the church. It’s a great time to connect with the church community.

Please read the descriptions and instructions for each available position. If anything stands out to you please sign up! It’s all fun and the kitchen conversations and community are wonderful.

Notes

  • Often folks will sign up for one of the first four roles - the “first shift” -  and then leave. Others sign up for the clean-up – “second shift” -  portion of WFFF. That is great! Many stay for the entirety: meal prep, set up, serving, and clean up. This is also great but not expected!
  • Usually cooking and other prep for WFFF starts at 4:00 and we are usually done before 7:00 pm. And, it is a wonderful meal for the volunteers!

Cancelation policy: WFFF follows the Northfield School calendar. If school has been canceled WFFF is also canceled. We will send out notices via newsletter and social media to let you know if WFFF is cancelled or not. Click here to see the overall schedule.

  • There will be no WFFF on March 25 or April 1.

Health & Safety: First UCC holds the right to ensure the safety and health of all participants of WFFF. First UCC also holds the right to ensure volunteers complete necessary training which keeps our facilities safe for those who have certain allergies and immunological sensitivities.

We have many community members who have allergies and who have serious dietary restrictions. It is vital that we respect these restrictions and do what we can to accommodate those who join us for WFFF.

These rules are here for the health and safety of everyone who volunteers and participates in WFFF. If these rules are not followed, First UCC holds the right to give health and safety trainings to all volunteers, regardless of position.
