Community Data Science Workshop - Mentor Signup
Thanks for your interest in mentoring budding data scientists at the Winter 2020 Community Data Science Workshops. Mentors are the backbone of these workshops. We can't do it without you! More details on the workshops are online here:
Please take a minute to provide contact information and let us know what sessions you are able to volunteer for. Even if you have volunteered before, please provide your name, email, and availability.
Again, thank you so much!
Which days can you volunteer?
Please only check boxes if you're sure you can be there. We would prefer it if you can commit to volunteering for the whole day but in practice we need less mentors on Saturday mornings.
Friday January 17 6:00-9:00pm - Software Setup and Tutorial
Saturday January 18 9:45am-4pm - Introduction to Programming
Saturday February 1 9:45am-4pm - Importing Data from APIs
Saturday February 15 9:45am-4pm - Data Analysis and Visualization
Where are you coming from?
Title, affiliation, organization. e.g., 'graduate student in communication at UW' or 'contributor to Wikipedia.'
What kind of experience do you have with programming and data science?
Note: You don't need to be an expert programmer or an experienced researcher to be a great mentor. We just want to know a little about your background.
