WE KNOW YOU HAVE A HIDDEN TALENT! COME SHOW IT OFF AT THE 3RD ANNUAL GROTON’S GOT TALENT                         April 14th @ 1:00 pm
Can you juggle, dance, sing, play an instrument, do magic, or make people laugh? We want you to show off your talent for the chance to be named this year’s winner of Groton’s Got Talent!

All residents within the Groton School District are eligible to sign up to participate.

Contestants will be divided up into one of four categories.

Elementary: Grades PK – 4
Intermediate: Grades 5 – 8
Senior: Grades 9 – 12
Community: 1 or more participants are not GCS students

Performance Rules
To be eligible:
Show participation is open to all residents of the Groton School District.
Performers may perform a solo or group act.
Each act must return a completed and signed Talent Show Participation Form to Hayley Wheeler or Angela Conger no later than April 6, 2018.

All acts need to be reviewed & approved by a school administrator or Jr/Sr PTO officer prior to the show or the act will be pulled from the program.
Dress rehearsal will be on Friday, April 13th from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm / Acts will be given the opportunity to sign up for a time slot after April 6th.
                  *** If you are unable to make the date of the dress rehearsal, please contact Hayley Wheeler @ hwheeler@groton.cnyric.org as soon as possible to make other arrangements.
Planning your act:
Lyrics, costumes, and performances should be compliant with the school’s policy and appropriate for all audiences. (Keep in mind that the entire community is invited to attend this show). Music and performances will be screened for appropriateness.
All equipment (other than microphones & sound system) for the performer’s act must be provided by the performer.
If your act requires recorded accompanying music, the music must be provided to Hayley Wheeler or Brian Twitchell no later than April 13th.
It is your responsibility to get your music back after the show.
GCS music teachers, Laura White and Barb Saroka are available for coaching. Please contact them directly for available times.
Most of all – be creative, prepared, and show off your true talent! Contestants will receive a judging rubric upon signing up to assist in planning their performance.
