Adult Hebrew Registration
Bet Shalom will be offering two Adult Hebrew classes that will meet during the 2018-2019 school year on Sundays when Religious School is in session beginning on September 23rd.
Please contact Rabbi Crimmings at 952-933-8525 or
to discuss which class may be the right fit for you, or with any other questions.
A bit about our instructor, Nicolas J. Shaser, Ph.D.:
We are thrilled to share that Nicolas Shaser will be teaching both classes. Nick Schaser is Visiting Assistant Professor of Jewish Studies at Macalester College in St. Paul. He recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with a PhD in rabbinic Judaism and early Christianity. He teaches widely in both synagogues and churches, and is interested in furthering Jewish-Christian relations and interfaith dialogue.
Nick taught an Introduction to the book of Isaiah here at Bet Shalom this past winter as an Adult Education class. We loved learning with him and look forward to continuing to learn from him this year. Nick lives in Eden Prairie with his wife, Melissa.
Beginning Hebrew Is for adults with no background in Hebrew. This class will focus on learning the alphabet and the fundamentals of reading.
Intermediate Hebrew is for adults with basic Hebrew reading skills. This class will focus on developing skills in Hebrew language. The direction of the class will be determined by those registered.
