Grade 3 Art Distance Learning Lesson 1: Introduction
Hello students and parents!!!

I'm so proud of each one of you! Please know I'm thinking about each and every one of you! Oh, I miss your hugs, smiles, giggles and laughter! I do hope you’re safe in your home and staying healthy!

Today's art lesson is a simple introduction to have you feel more comfortable in knowing how you are going to complete art at home with 2 familiar phrases...

1) CARPET SQUARES PLEASE ~ Each week you will start with an online art lesson right here! Yes, on the computer! It's like you're sitting on your carpet square and you're looking at the white board, exploring with your eyes and learning exciting facts about artwork! This online portion is graded right away.

2) STUDIO CHAIRS PLEASE ~ After you're done with your art lesson questions, you move over to your new "Studio" chair and complete an Art Activity! Yes, you get to make art at home. Please create a folder and hold onto all your wonderful artwork! When I find a way to have all 550 students upload in an organized program, I will be requesting art to be turned in. At this time, please DO NOT email your art for grading.

If you have ANY questions in art, please contact me directly at jkruschke@eagleridgeacademy.org I will respond within a traditional school day. To serve you best, please include your students name, grade, and classroom teacher inside your email. I appreciate this information since I teach over 550 students.

Lastly, I have recently applied an email confirmation to this and all online art lessons. This feature will instantly email parents once a lesson is submitted. If your household does not use email, you are welcome to enter in mine so you can complete your online art lesson: jkruschke@eagleridgeacademy.org.

STUDIO TIME   ~   Art Activity  ~   G3.Art.W1: Valued Ice Cream
This Art Activity is required to be completed sometime this week. You have the flexibility within the week to complete expectations that best fits the needs for your family. A suggested pacing guide is to complete Art on Tuesdays. Art Activity is not graded the first week, giving you a little extra time to be familiar with distance learning. Please create a folder and hold onto all your wonderful artwork! When I find a way to have all 550 students upload in an organized program, I will be requesting future art to be turned in. At this time, please DO NOT email your art for grading.
AT THIS TIME; PLEASE SAVE AND/OR PRINT ART ACTIVITY INSTRUCTIONS BELOW...Place the cursor over the image, Right click on the mouse, go to "save image as", save to your computer desktop or art folder. You can open when you desire and print if needed. *
