-exploring what it means to serve its community with good drink, good food, and hospitality -exploring what it would mean to think well -exploring what it would mean to be the thoughtful presence of Christ -exploring the intersection of Christian faith and academic discourse, with a view toward human flourishing and the common good To this end, applicants must be willing to fulfill the following expectations:
-operate the coffeehouse program of the Christian Study Center of Gainesville, known as Pascal’s Coffeehouse -cultivate a space of conversation and unity -learn the necessary skills of a craft coffee professional -participate in morning staff meetings and regular coffee cuppings to further coffee education -participate in semester-long shared reading that aims to discuss shared questions of human experience through a Christian theological framework Please note that this application is for barista positions beginning in the Fall of 2019 but there will be training days during the summer months of July or early August.
