2026 SFEC Research & Practice Review: Presentation Proposal Form
ABOUT THE EVENT:
The 2026 SFEC Research and Practice Review will be offered January 14th, 2026 at the Cloquet Forestry Center. We are planning an event with in-person presentations by researchers and practitioners over a full day; however, we will be able to accommodate remote presentations and attendance for those who need it.
The purpose of the event is to present new applied research, knowledge gained through practice, and case study findings relevant to regional natural resource managers, with a focus on silviculture, forest management, and forest-associated wildlife. This focus includes topics related to policy, economics, inventory, remote sensing, and other topics pertaining to forests and associated with natural resources stewardship.
The audience is professional natural resource managers - this is an excellent opportunity to make land managers aware of your research results, share findings from your own practice, and to influence land management activities.
PROPOSAL FORMATS:
Presentations are short, emphasizing applied results and relevance to land managers.
Oral: 15 minutes + Q&A (open to researchers and practitioners)
Lightning: 5-minute "lightning talk" optionally accompanied by a poster or case study
DEADLINE:
Please submit proposals for oral and poster presentations by noon on Wednesday, November 5th.
