Emergency Pet Food Assistance Request Form
Thank you for your interest in the No Empty Bowl Project, a program designed to temporarily provide emergency assistance with pet food and essentials to those impacted by COVID 19 job cuts. As unemployment and stimulus checks have arrived, applications have dropped sharply, and we have met the immediate emergency need of Wake County animals. With over 650 applicants and almost 1600 animals being fed, the program was able to help pets stay in their loving homes. As the county is starting to re-open, we are officially closing our temporary distribution site. Instead, we are transitioning our remaining pet food/supplies to local food banks. For longer term assistance, please reach out to Dorcas Ministries in Cary or Mama’s Kitchen in Fuquay-Varina. These two sites will continue distributing pet food supplies, and Friends of Wake County Animal Center will provide further funding for the pet food portion of their programs. Wishing you well as we begin to re-open and recover.
