A light breakfast, lunch, snacks, and water will be provided.
All volunteers will receive a t-shirt and will be trained in on their role.

The volunteer roles are listed below with a short description of their expectations.
Event volunteers should be 18 or older.

Available Positions:
Education
Help us run interactive activities focused on aviation concepts in The Discovery Hangar! We have fun activities that can be run by pilots and non-pilots, and we'll teach you what you need to know.
Parking
Direct attendee and volunteer vehicle traffic into designated parking spaces and assist with crowd control. (*Note - We will need several volunteers to arrive at 7 AM. The remaining volunteers will need to arrive at 7:30 AM)
Exhibitor Assistance
Assist with any needs our companies might have throughout the day.
Airfield Assistance
Assist with any needs our aircraft owners might have throughout the day. Ensure attendees stay off taxiways, runway & restricted areas. Assist in keeping a safe perimeter around moving aircraft. Report suspicious activity. Support environmental management if needed.
Environmental Management
Help us keep the event and airport tidy. Walk grounds and pick up FOD, empty of trash bins, replenishment of supplies, and other campus needs. Support Crowd Control if needed.
Attendee Registration/Check-In
Assist in attendee registration and check-in.
Volunteer Hangar
Assist with volunteer check-in and volunteer refreshments.
Stars Of The North Chapter Info BoothAssist with various Chapter and WAI activities at the tent. We will provide all the info you will need to know. Chapter Members will be able to SHINE in this role!
Rising Star Program
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers, especially pilots or those who have helped with our Girls In Aviation Day (GIAD) events, to join our Rising Star Program. Help inspire girls 15-18 who are interested in aviation. If you're passionate about flying and eager to share your love for aviation, we need you! The program runs from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
We will do our best to assign you to your first choice position, however it is not guaranteed. You will be contacted by your team lead approximately one week prior to the event with further information.
We ask that all volunteers register as attendees for Girls in Aviation, you can do so
