live auction, and libations.
+ Harvest Night is hosted during Hunger Action Month, which takes place every September. The familyfriendly

games, and so many fun activities for kids, all taking place in the Foodbank’s Warehouse.
+ THV’s Summer Cereal Drive runs the entire month of June. The Summer Cereal Drive provides nonperishable
breakfast items that are both nutritious and kid-friendly for children and families in Central
Arkansas who would otherwise go without the most important meal of the day - breakfast. Support this
event by starting a team at your place of work, collecting cereal and monetary donations.
+ Third party events benefitting the Foodbank:
++ Cinco de Heights is hosted by Height’s Taco & Tamale to benefit the Foodbank. This fiesta takes
place on Kavanaugh and includes live music, golf cart float competition and parade, golf cart giveaway,
activities for kids, a mojito-margarita-beer zone, and lots more!
++ International Greek Food Festival is in May. Guests will enjoy a vast array of food, cultural
performances, shopping, and children’s activities. Volunteers will be working the front gate, collecting $ + food
++ Chili Fights in the Heights is a family friendly event put on in conjunction with the Heights
Neighborhood Association and Heights Business Association (along with the help of a few fun oriented
citizens) with the hope of bringing the community together, showing off our unique area of town and
generating a charitable donation for the Arkansas Foodbank. It typically takes place on a Saturday in
November.

Service Projects
+ Harvester’s “Helpy Hour” will be hosted on an agreed upon date by members. It will be a volunteer
activity in the warehouse that Harvesters will lead. Open to the all young professionals in the central
Arkansas area.
+ Agency Visits as a distribution hub for 450 agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, schools,
colleges, shelters, senior centers, and other agencies that provide aid directly to hungry Arkansans. You
will pick a day to volunteer for a few hours at one of our agencies.
