The Work-Based Learning (WBL) Program is offered to Jackson County Schools high school students who meet the following requirements:1. Student must be 15 years old or older.
2. Student must be in 10th, 11th, or 12th grades.
3. Student must be on track to graduate.
3. Student must have reliable transportation or be able to drive with reliable access to a vehicle.
4. Student should be enrolled or have completed at least one CTAE course during his/her high school career.
5. Student should have good school attendance and behavior records.
What is Work-Based Learning? WBL is an elective credit class that allows students to leave campus and go to work for 1 - 3 periods each semester. Along with work requirements, students must submit a monthly time sheet and do other assignments that help prepare the student for employability. Applying for WBL does not guarantee acceptance into the program.
