#HoyasInUK offers Georgetown students a chance to witness first hand the political strategy, tactics and energy of an election. To participate in this experience, students must have full availability from the morning of Saturday, June 3rd through the evening of Sunday, June 11th. #HoyasInUK will spend a week in London attending meetings with candidates, campaign staffers and strategists, party leaders, and journalists, and witnessing events in the run-up to the June 8 vote.
Student participants will also provide their friends and peers with a backstage look at this exciting election. #HoyasinUK will produce articles and videos for the GU Politics and SFS websites, and share their experiences live on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
GU Politics and the SFS are pleased to be able to cover the cost of housing, airfare from Washington, D.C. to London, transportation while in the UK, and most meals for all #HoyasInUK.
This opportunity is limited to students who are currently enrolled at Georgetown and will still be enrolled in the Fall of 2017. Please note – a valid passport is required in order to travel to London.
