Kids of Kathmandu Volunteers,  Let's Build a School Together!
Hi Guys,

Thanks for your interest in joining our team in Nepal for our November or December 2017 trips. Acts of Kindness Collective (AOKC) and Kids of Kathmandu have come together to rebuild schools destroyed by the 2015 earthquake. We are excited to have you!

Most of our impact planning for 2017-18 will involve the construction of the East Point Academy school for 400 children in Melamchi, Nepal. This building project is at the beginning stages and will run for 9 months so extra hands on site will help us progress towards completion by late April 2018. As well as construction related work, there is potential to directly impact the children during this time by tutoring / teaching and hosting activities, as students are studying in temporary classrooms next to our build site.

Many studies have demonstrated: the more we give, the happier we feel. Volunteering provides not only a sense of purpose and a natural sense of accomplishment, but also makes a real difference to those less fortunate. The ability of people to work willingly together for the betterment of humanity and themselves is a very powerful resource.

Please note: there is no experience required to volunteer with our school building project. There is a skilled workforce on site which will guide you through your tasks.

Much love,
- Kids of Kathmandu Team
