St. Charles Borromeo (Point Loma) to Immaculate Conception (Old Town) Pilgrimage Sign Up Form

Thank you for your interest in this exciting event.  A Creation Care pilgrimage is being planned for October 18, 2025, from St Charles Borromeo Parish in Point Loma to Immaculate Conception Parish in Old Town, as part of the Jubilee Year: Pilgrims of Hope for Creation initiative. This pilgrimage is an opportunity to deepen our faith through a program of spiritual nourishment and action focused on protecting and caring for all of creation.

We encourage all parishioners to participate in this transformative journey, where we will reflect on our call as stewards of the Earth and take concrete steps to promote ecological justice. We are blessed to be collaborating with St. Pius X and Immaculate Conception, so do not be afraid to invite others.

The basic sequence of events will be:

  • Meet up, check-in, sign waivers, opening prayer in Mary’s courtyard.  Discuss purpose of pilgrimage and connection to eco spirituality.
  • Walk up a small hill via Bookstar to Rosecrans street
  • Proceed along Rosecrans with stops at Goodwill, Psychiatric Hospital of SD County, Transit Center, SD River/Mission Valley Preserve, and finally end at Immaculate Conception’s native garden.
  • Closing prayer and reflection on conversion
  • Church will be open and restrooms available in the Hall.
  • Optional Lunch together in Old Town!
  • We recommend you enjoy the Old Town area while there and consider Bus #8 or #28 to return to Rosecrans/Lytton.
