ProFaNE Consensus Update Survey

Thank you for your interest in completing this survey looking at updating recommendations for falls prevention research. This survey relates to the future update of the ProFaNE consensus which provides recommendations for conducting randomised trials on falls prevention in older people.

Part 1: Summary of recommendations
First, there is a brief summary of the recommendations. It would be useful to have the original consensus available and familiarise yourself with this prior to starting the survey. However, short summaries are provided for the relevant sections. You can access the original consensus recommendations using the link: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16137297.

Part 2: Recent evidence
Secondly, there is a section describing more up-to-date evidence that was published after the original recommendations were developed.

Part 3: Survey
Next, the survey questionnaire begins, asking where and how recommendations should be updated which should take around 15 minutes to complete.

Your participation is voluntary. All data will be stored securely on a private drive and computers based at the University of Oxford. The results will be used to enhance the current recommendations and your assistance in producing an updated version of the recommendations will be acknowledged. However, you have the right to request that your name not be used in any future publications.

We would be very grateful for your time in completing this survey as the results will help us to improve future health research.
