Dickens Parade of Lights 2025 Registration
Friday December 5th • Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. •  Check in is on Howard Street, near Watson Street, between 5 and 6pm, with the parade beginning at 6:30pm.

Help light up downtown with festive, holiday "floats" for the 7th annual Parade of Lights, Friday, December 5th! Use the form below to sign-up your entry for the parade. To pay your $20 registration fee online, click HERE ; cash or checks may be dropped off or mailed to the Chamber office. Please call the Chamber office with any questions.

Playing holiday music from your entry is welcome.
All participants will supply their own volunteers, materials, vehicles, etc. for their entry.  All entries are expected for adhere to insurance and registration requirements for all vehicles.

NO PARADE ENTRY WILL BE PERMITTED TO INCLUDE A FULLY DRESSED SANTA OR MRS. CLAUS. There will be only one live "Santa" displayed in the parade, presented by the Chamber. This is to prevent any confusion that could be caused by young believers seeing more than one Santa in the same place. *
Parade Policies
o I understand that my group will be entering the Dickens Holiday Parade at our own risk. Participants agree that it will not hold the sponsors, merchants, officers, employees, volunteers or other participants liable for any damage or any claim for personal injury or damage that may arise through or in connection with the participation of the Dickens Holiday Parade. More information will be given once application is submitted. 


o NO alcoholic beverages are allowed to be consumed by any participant in the parade entry.
o NO candy will be tossed to spectators from any parade unit.
o NO water shooting entries including water balloons, waterguns, or buckets.
o All animal entries MUST clean up all animal droppings before leaving the city.
o Please maintain approximately a 5 car distance between entries.
o Please maintain a speed of 2-3 mph when in the parade.

  1. Applications should be submitted or mailed in before the deadline. No applications will be accepted after that date.


  1. Each entry shall be in “good taste” and shall, in the opinion of the judges add beauty and interest from the public point of view.


  1. Each entry should display a sign or banner indicating affiliations.


  1. Floats should bear the name of the community, organization, company, or individual responsible for its entrance in the parade.


  1. Participants must pick-up their assigned number at the Entry Checkpoint before lining up for the parade.


  1. Please keep a safe distance of five car lengths between you and the entry in front of you.


  1. All vehicles should display their assigned entry number in a readable manner. A small computer generated sign (8 inches by 10 inches) in a window or taped to the side of the vehicle is recommended.


  1. Throwing candy from vehicles or floats is prohibited, although walkers may hand out treats.


  1. Public works will barricade connecting streets along the route a minimum of two hours in advance of the parade. There should be no public vehicle traffic on the route once barricades are in place.


  1. Parade entries will be judged before the parade. All entries must line up 1 hour before the parade on Ransom Street, so that they may be judged at 5:00, before the parade starts at 6:30 p.m.


  1. Participant winners will be announced and presented with their trophies at the judges table at the Village Green Bandstand located at the corner of Watson and Seward Street.


  1. All participants must continue moving throughout the parade.


  1. Please be advised there is to be only one Santa in the Christmas Parade brought in by the Dickens of a Christmas Festival Committee. Schools, Churches, or any other organizations should not have a Santa on their entry.
