NY Renews Lobby Day in Albany: May 30
Why a lobby day? Because time is up for delaying on bold climate change action in NY, and the people we elect to represent us need to hear us loud and clear.

We're heading up to Albany to meet with our elected officials to drive home that it's critical that they do everything in their power to move the Climate & Community Protection Act for 100% renewable energy by 2050 to the floor this session (which ends on June 20).

We'll also be introducing our representatives to the Climate & Community Investment Act concept – a bill that would make polluters pay for the damage they cause our safety & health, and reinvest the up to $7B of annual revenue in transitioning us to clean energy, creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs along the way and protecting frontline communities.

**Free bus from Manhattan. You can meet us in Albany on your own if you're coming from Albany area; if you have at least a car-full of people who want to come from another area, please have all participants sign up here AND reach out to daniela.lapidous@nyrenews.org and she will provide resources to reimburse you for gas/etc.**

Wednesday May 30

From NYC --> Depart midtown Manhattan at 8am; lobby meetings in Albany from 11am - 3pm; return to midtown Manhattan by around 6pm.

If coming from the Capital District area or elsewhere on your own, plan to arrive at the Empire State Plaza area by 11am for a briefing.

Free bus from midtown Manhattan to Albany! Free lunch will be provided to all, too.

No experience required! If this is your first lobby trip ever, we welcome you. :) We'll do a briefing on the day-of to prepare everyone for meetings with representatives and send out materials for reading in advance.

Email NY Renews coalition organizer Daniela at daniela.lapidous@nyrenews.org with any questions. Details for meeting up at the briefing location and bus pick-up spot will be shared by email to registrants. Thank you!
