UR Interpersonal Wellness Advisory Committee & Listserv Interest Form
Are you interested in working to prevent violence and promote healthier relationships on University of Richmond's campus? This form is for faculty, staff, students, alum, and community members interested in staying up to date with violence prevention efforts at UR via a listserv and/or participation on the Interpersonal Wellness Advisory Committee (IWAC). The goal of the IWAC is to bring together people from across (and outside of) UR who have interest and/or expertise to contribute to build capacity of the existing and ongoing work of violence prevention and fostering healthy relationships within and among communities. Please complete the form so you may be contacted for future involvement.

The Interpersonal Wellness Advisory Committee will meet on a quarterly basis to identify opportunities to advise campus departments, administrators, and stakeholders on more effective policies, practices, and programs; receive updates from subcommittees, working groups, and others; identify and discuss opportunities for collaboration among subcommittees and between the Advisory Committee and other campus and community constituencies; and offer feedback on the structure and approaches of the work of the IWAC and its subcommittees. Members and prospective members also agree to receiving updates on a listserv and taking necessary action with these updates (e.g., sharing information, connecting with stakeholders and networks, encouraging UR community to attend programs by posting and/or offering extra credit, etc.)

Members may be invited to join both time-limited and continuing subcommittees that will be tasked with accomplishing specific goals. The purpose of these subcommittees is to increase the capacity of the C.A.R.E. (Center for Awareness, Response, & Education), Sexual Misconduct Prevention Educator, Title IX office, and others who contribute to tasks, strategies, and programs committed to ending violence at UR's campus. That is, it is the expectation that members of subcommittees commit to working within and outside of meetings to the best of their ability. Our hope is not only to bring diverse perspectives, voices, and ideas to the table; but also to bring diverse areas of expertise of those who are able to contribute EFFORT and TIME towards increasing capacity of creating a healthier and safer campus environment for all Spiders.

Please note that not everyone will be the right fit for the committee at any given time based on current size and structure of work but we may reach out to you in the future for additional opportunities to be involved in the work of the C.A.R.E. Please reach out to Kaylin Tingle, Sexual Misconduct Prevention Educator, at ktingle@richmond.edu with additional questions or comments. Thank you!
