Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to Surry Village Charter School. We hope that you and your family had an exceptional summer and are ready to leap into the new school year.

We have created the SVCS Parent Handbook in the hope that it will be useful to you and will help answer the many questions that are sure to arise. In it you will find important information about policies and programs here at SVCS.

You will also find extensive information on citizenship expectations. In order to make SVCS a safe place where people care for one another, we believe that everyone (students, parents and staff members) should understand and adhere to the same expectations. Because this is so important to your child’s success, we would recommend that you get together as a family to read through and discuss these expectations.
 
In order to be environmentally friendly, we ask that you read the handbook online and keep a copy handy on your computer.  If you need a hard copy, please see the SVCS office.  

The sign-off sheet is like an agreement between school and home that says we all understand the same information and will work together to make SVCS a safe place for all students.
