Greeter Ministry Sign Up

As our parish continues to build and grow we acquire a higher and higher profile in our community. This means more and more people hear about us. And this means more and more people come to visit us - to check us out and see if St. Vladimir's is a place for them. We only have ONE CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION - and this is what our Greeter Ministry is all about: welcoming new people to St. Vladimir's, making them feel at home, being a resource for their questions, helping resolve any issues they have while at St. Vladimir's, and providing a warm welcome for them to return when they leave.

A greeter will be a friendly person available to answer questions, guide people to the available pamphlets about the church and Orthodoxy, provide them with informational bulletin, invite them to stay for the meal after Liturgy and make polite conversation with them during the meal if they chose to stay. The greeter is the person that the visitors knows is there to help.

In this ministry you will make a real difference - you will be the face of Orthodox Christianity to the visitor - and you can help them understand the love of Christ that can be found in our parish family. Join today! Help others to integrate into our St. Vladimir's community! Make a difference in a visitor's spiritual life!

TEENS ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE and will be paired with an adult for Sunday Greeter duties.

Those who volunteer for this ministry will be assigned to a rotating schedule. Of course Greeters are welcome to "trade" assignment Sundays based on their personal schedules, but the only practical way to make this work is to create a duty schedule.
