Dear Participant,
This is an inquiry for participation in the activities of the ZeroW project. In this letter, we will give you information about the purpose of the project, the data collection and processing activity, what your participation will involve, and your rights.
Purpose of the ZeroFLW business ecosystem
The ZeroFLW Business Ecosystem Group will support the ZeroW project through commercial outreach and exploitation strategy by acting as a commercial eco-system, constituted by pertinent and relevant sectoral actors in FLW.
This group invites organisations with commercial insight and has been created to discuss, supporting spin offs, innovative ideas, business opportunities and much more!
You will have access to an online community where you can create synergies and interact with a wide range of stakeholders who share a common interest to learn and exchange information about the needs and solutions for FLW in the market and an opportunity for potential collaborations/ partnerships.

Who is responsible for the project?
INLECOM COMMERCIAL PATHWAYS COMPANY LIMITED BY GUARANTEE is the responsible for the project (i.e., the project co-ordinator).
Purpose of the data collection activity and Legal basis of processing personal data
The purpose of collecting your data for the ZeroFLW Business Ecosystem Group is to be able to send you the invitation to join through LinkedIn; to be able contact you in relation to the activities of the ecosystem and to provide you with any ZeroW project updates that are better communicated through email. Without collection of the personal data we are unable to invite you to the group and carry out any of the activities as explained in this section and the purpose of the ecosystem section.
Any recordings of meetings are considered “personal data” and their use constitutes an act of “processing of personal data”. This is an operation for which the legal basis is your consent. We will share these recordings with any members of the ecosystem who are unable to attend any meetings and through our closed LinkedIn group.
Who is responsible for the data collection and processing in this activity?
Danijel Pavlica (danijel@f6s.com), Mirana Khanom (mirana@f6s.com) and Cristiana Peres (cristiana@f6s.com) from F6S Network Ireland Limited who will have access and be are responsible for the data collection and sharing in this activity. F6S will be both the Data Controller and Data Processor.
Personal data to be collected
For this purpose, the following personal data will be collected: Full Name, Email Address, LinkedIn profile and the Enrolment form includes questions about your main field of work and the country of where you are based. Your answers will be recorded electronically. We are requesting your consent for use of recordings of meetings collected and shared for the ZeroFLW Business Ecosystem. The personal data that will be collected and captured by the tools used to organise and hold these meetings including the recording of any meetings will be: Full Name/ Organisation/ Images/ Sound Data
Why are you being asked to participate?
You are being asked to complete this Enrolment Form to be part of the ZeroFLW Business Ecosystem Group. You may have received this link to join this group through your network or through the programme promotion itself.
What does participation involve for you?
We believe you are a valuable stakeholder and participant in the Zero FLW Business ecosystem, because you are coming from commercial background, and you have interest in sustainable business and reduction of food loss and waste in particular. You have the right experience to share and the spot-on questions to ask to guide the sustainable exploitation of the multiple ZeroW innovations
A questionnaire will be circulated to members ahead of these meetings to decide on the common interest thematic, taking in to account any opinions, needs and requests. Any results related to the questionnaires that are presented in meetings will be demonstrated in an anonymous format.
Potential Benefits, Risks or Discomforts for you
There is no foreseeable risk, disadvantage, or discomfort in the participation. The direct benefit from your participation is your inclusion in a continuously growing community with which you are sharing common interests, bringing knowledge and expertise you can be benefited from. · Be part of a closed LinkedIn group just for members of the ZeroFLW Business Ecosystem to engage in networking, synergies & be part of discussions with the right partners and peers;
· Contribute to finding and presenting solutions that may answer the needs in the market to get a better insight about the needs of the FLW market through exchange of information;
· Find out about the latest events; financing from open calls; opinion articles, new orientations; regulations; research articles on FLW, etc.)
· Be part of an environment that benefits the engagement of investors/potential business partner for commercial/business opportunities;
· Learn first hand about relevant FLW innovation that have been piloted in ZeroW project so you can find new ideas that can help your business to reduce or valorise the FLW
Participation is voluntary
Participation in the project’s activities is voluntary, and you can refrain from answering individual questions if you wish. All information about you will be made anonymous. If you chose to participate, you can withdraw your consent at any time without giving a reason. There will be no negative consequences for you if you choose not to participate or later decide to withdraw. After withdrawal your data will be deleted.
Your personal privacy – how we will store and use your personal data
Your data will be stored in secured Google Drive folders of F6S Network Ireland Limited, with servers based in Ireland.
As the ecosystem is constituted as a closed LinkedIn group, all ecosystem members will be able to see the other members LinkedIn profile information and recordings of the meetings and be able to directly communicate with each other through the interface provided by LinkedIn.
Personal data will not be shared in the public ecosystem results communication, but videos/photos/sound data will be published publicly. We will use your personal data only for the purpose(s) specified in this information sheet. We will process your personal data confidentially and in accordance with data protection legislation (the General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR]. The personal data collected through the Enrolment form will be used to better understand the areas of interest and to analyse the types of stakeholders that are joining the group and define next steps. The results from this analysis will be anonymised. Any recordings of meetings will be shared with members of the ZeroFLW Business Ecosystem group and with members who are unable to make any of the meetings. They will be made available to the public via the closed LinkedIn group, the website of ZeroW and relevant publications or other exploitation outcomes of the project.
What will happen to your personal data at the end of the project?
The project is scheduled to end 31st December 2025. All project data will be stored only for the minimum period required to complete the research activities, which is 36 months/3 years, and according to the accounting rules that apply under Horizon 2020, no longer than five years from the end of the project, when it will be deleted.
Your rights
So long as you can be identified in the collected data, you have the right to:
access your personal data that is being processed (Art. 15 GDPR)
request that your personal data is deleted (“right to be forgotten”; Art. 17 GDPR)
request that incorrect personal data about you is corrected/rectified (Art. 16 GDPR)
request for restriction of processing of your personal data (Art. 18 GDPR)
receive a copy of your personal data (data portability) (Art. 20 GDPR),
object to processing your personal data, on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR), and
send a complaint to the Data Protection Officer (DPO) or the National Data Protection Authority regarding the processing of your personal data.
What gives us the right to process your personal data?
We will process your personal data based on your consent.
