Community Teacher Academy - Initial Survey
The Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools (KCKPS) is in the early process of developing a Community Teacher Academy. The Community Teacher Academy will allow community members to learn about 21st century teaching and learning, practice teaching skills themselves, and understand the departments and staff that support our goal of having each student exit high school, prepared for college and careers in a global society.

In order to develop the Academy, we have created this short survey, which will help us to better understand the needs of the community. If you would like to be contacted when the first class time and day is set, be sure to leave your name and contact information in the last part of the survey.

Coursework and school visits
As part of this Academy you will learn some skills teachers use in the classroom, be exposed to 21st Century Teaching and Learning, and observe teachers and students in schools.
The Community Teacher Academy includes a school visit. Please use the grid to rank which type of school you would most like to visit.
