Q-Quest and Workshop Values
In recognition and celebration of the diversity of LGBTQIA2+ youth, we ask that all presenters and workshops commit to upholding the following values in their presentations and the space: self empowerment, centering cultural voices, neuro-inclusivity, anti-bias + anti-racist, celebrating the gender spectrum + sexual diversity, promoting multiple narratives + not a single narrative, and encouraging critical thinking
Workshop Explanation
There are many ways to present information during a conference. We would like your workshop to be developmentally and age-appropriate for the population you chose. We ask for mindfulness of including various participation and learning styles. We have also heard feedback from youth that they would like to be more engaged in their education and have more voice during the workshop whether this be a talking circle, small group discussions, story telling, writing + reflection, and/or interactive activities. Please be conscious of this. Create space for youth voice, for questions and discussions, and if it fits with your workshop, a space for youth to create.

To ensure student success and well being, MNSOC requires all student workshops have a main contact whom is an adult (20+) whom assumes responsibility for adherence to the guidelines to affirm and ensure the safety of all of our student participants. This adult must be present in the workshops facilitated by the student.
