Purple Line Background
The Purple Line is a proposed 15-mile Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line in Ramsey County in the northeastern part of the Twin Cities Metropolitan Area. The proposed line will travel between downtown Saint Paul and East Metro communities.
What is Station Area Planning?
Station area planning is a collaborative process that identifies ways to promote safe and direct station access and transit-oriented-development within walking distance (1/2 mile, generally) of future transit stations. Transit-oriented development creates compact, mixed-use communities near transit where people can enjoy easy access to jobs and services.
The Future of Purple Line
The Purple Line BRT will serve 21 neighborhoods and several diverse communities along the route, passing through multiple cities, dozens of businesses, and much more!
This is where you come in! We are looking to build a diverse group of stakeholders who can share their ideas and vision for the future of the station areas along the Purple Line. Your input will help inform future development decisions and shape the neighborhoods along the corridor for years to come.
How to Get Involved?
If you live, work, or play along the Purple Line route then this group is for you. The Station Area Working Groups would meet three times beginning in March. We know your time is valuable so all Station Area Working Group members will receive $25 per meeting and meals will be provided for in-person meetings.
