The DWCHC is lead by the Executive Committee comprised of president, 1st vice-president, 2nd vice-president, treasurer, and secretary. Three standing committees, each lead by a chair, include community outreach, membership, and scholarship project. 

DWC members are encouraged to participate in one of the committees. Please sign up when joining or renewing membership. Please read the brief description of each committee below and select your first and second choice. Every effort will be made to add you to your first choice committee.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH
* Organize opportunities for DWC to connect with other organizations and participate in community events.
* Assign liaisons to attend key city and county meetings.
* Support needs of other organizations through collections or disseminating information.
* Assist in planning special events.
*Collaborate with Membership Committee to recruit new members.

MEMBERSHIP
* Recruit new members: generate ideas and work in collaboration with Outreach Committee. * Develop ways to engage members in the organization. * Maintain membership database with official roster of current and past members. * Promote communication with members including notifications of events and organization business. * Notify members of membership renewal and facilitate collection and deposits via Treasurer. * Track member participation in meetings and activities.
* Follow-up via email with non-members who attend monthly meetings or event.
* Invite members on DWC Facebook Group to join DWC organization. * Update print/online applications and other membership materials; provide at all meetings. * Update name badges for members and coordinate distribution at meetings.

SCHOLARSHIP PROJECT
* Determine the topic of the written competition in collaboration with the Executive Board.
* Promote essay contest to HS students. Distribute applications and guidelines to the HCSC high schools.
* Recruit judges and provide guidelines and scoring rubrics to facilitate judging.
* Coordinate collection of applications and communicate with applicants, their schools and judges.
* Select winners based on results of judging and notify winners and their schools.
* Coordinate with winning students to present at DWC meeting.
* Arrange with the participating high schools for awards presentation.
* Create scholarship booklet with winning essays and ads to disseminate via print and electronic.
* Promote winners through social media and press.
